Our production
Gold from our own mines
D Group operates gold mines in Guinea and sells their output. The gold we offer is our own, from the pit to the container.
Guinean gold
Guinean gold, taken at source
Guinea is gold country. Its deposits have fed the world market for generations, and the State is now bringing their processing onshore rather than letting the metal leave unrefined. We run semi-industrial mines there: our teams are on the sites, the output passes through our hands, and every lot ships with the documents that say where it comes from. You buy from the producer.
Our deposits are operated jointly with Boke Mining Co., a Guinean mining company.
What that changes for you
An origin we can prove
Every lot is tied to its extraction site. Origin documents travel with the shipment.
A single point of contact
From quote to loading, your contact is the producer. No chain of intermediaries to trace back when a question arises.
Pricing that follows the market
Our quotes are based on the day’s spot price, shown at the top of this site at all times, not on an opaque price list.
Technical sheet
Technical sheet on request
Grades, form, packaging and export capacity vary by lot and destination. We send the sheet matching your requirement along with the quote, rather than a generic table that would match no actual shipment.
From the mine to shipment
Six stages separate extracted ore from the lot delivered to you. None is optional, and each leaves a written record.
Extraction
Ore is extracted from our sites, whose location is recorded for every lot.
Concentration
The ore is processed on site to separate the gold-bearing fraction from the waste rock.
Smelting and casting
The concentrate is smelted and cast into so-called doré bars, the form in which raw gold travels before refining.
Assay
An independent laboratory determines the fineness — the proportion of pure gold — and issues its certificate. That figure, not an estimate, is what a quote is built on.
Documentation
Certificate of origin, export authorisation, assay results and weight note travel with the lot.
Shipment
The lot ships under seal, by specialist carrier and under insurance, to the agreed delivery point.
Understanding a gold quote
Five terms come up in every negotiation. Knowing them avoids costly misunderstandings.
- Troy ounce
- The market’s reference unit: 31.1035 grams. The prices shown at the top of this site are per troy ounce.
- Fineness
- The proportion of pure gold in the lot, in parts per thousand. A bar at 995 contains 99.5 % pure gold. Fineness is established by assay, never quoted from memory.
- Doré
- The raw bar as it leaves the mine, before refining. Its fineness varies, which is why the assay matters.
- Spot price
- The price of gold for immediate delivery, moving continuously. It is the basis of any serious quote.
- Premium or discount
- The spread applied to spot depending on fineness, volume, delivery point and associated costs. This is where offers are genuinely compared.
- Incoterm
- The rule setting where responsibility passes from seller to buyer — FOB, CIF, DAP — and therefore who pays for transport, insurance and formalities. Two prices are only comparable under the same Incoterm.
Frequently asked questions
How do you prove the origin of the gold?
Every lot is tied to its extraction site and travels with its certificate of origin, export authorisation and assay results. A buyer can trace the chain document by document.
How is the price set?
From the day’s spot price, with a premium or discount depending on the assayed fineness, volume, delivery point and associated costs. The reference price is shown at the top of this site at all times.
Who determines the fineness of a lot?
An independent assay laboratory, before shipment. We do not rely on an internal estimate: the certificate is what binds both parties.
What documents accompany a shipment?
Certificate of origin, export authorisation, assay certificate, weight note and transport documents. The exact list depends on the destination country and is confirmed with your quote.
Do you work through intermediaries?
No. We sell the production of our own mines, and your contact is the producer from the first exchange through to delivery.
What volumes and destinations do you handle?
It depends on the lot and the period. State your requirement in the quote request: we reply within two working days with what we can actually commit to, rather than a theoretical capacity.
